Based in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia, Ensemble Laude is dedicated to singing early (pre-1600) and multicultural choral repertoire. Now in its 14th season, this inclusive yet auditioned women’s choir seeks to delight and inspire audiences through its intimate sound and exquisite sonorities.
In July of 2012, Ensemble Laude and its chamber group, Encanta, participated in the International Choral Kathaumixw. We were honoured to be selected as award winners: Encanta was awarded First Place and Ensemble Laude Second Place in the category of Equal Voice (men's or women's choirs). Performing with choirs from Puerto Rico, Mexico, China, Philippines, Australia, Canada, and United States, Ensemble Laude was privileged to sing alongside some of the finest musicians on the international choral stage.
