The Garden offers a marvellous cornucopia of music past and present, from aboriginal fishing chants to medieval love songs to a modern interpretation of 14th Century Persian poetry. A highlight of the concert is the world premier of a commissioned piece by Victoria composer Nicholas Fairbank, based on the works of Christine de Pizan, a 15th Century feminist writer. The Garden’s bouquet of beautifully diverse repertoire is sure to delight audiences of all ages.
