Elizabeth to co-chair Podium 2026

Along with Dr Adam Con, our founder and artistic director Elizabeth MacIsaac will be co-chairing the national Podium choral conference in spring 2026 here in Victoria. We can’t wait to connect with singers from across Canada in our hometown.

The 2026 edition, co-hosted by Choral Canada and the British Columbia Choral Federation (BCCF), will be held in Victoria from May 14–17, 2026 (Victoria Day long weekend). Podium is Choral Canada’s national biennial bilingual choral conference and festival. This multi-day celebration brings together hundreds of delegates and thousands of singers and audience members from across the country and beyond who are passionate about group singing. Since it began in 1982, the Podium choral conference has only been hosted twice in B.C. – in Vancouver (1986) and in Victoria (2006). You can imagine how excited we are at to welcome Podium to Victoria!

The Ensemble Laude choir was thrilled to travel to St. John’s, Newfoundland, to perform as a Spotlight Choir at Podium 2018. Read about our memorable West Coast-East Coast journey.
